November 27 will be the day: The “test heroes” – ProNES Automation GmbH and Wolf & Wölfel – will celebrate their premiere with the first joint booth at the SPS IPC Drives, which takes place from 27 to 29 November in Nuremberg.
The test heroes have been working together since autumn 2017 to develop innovative automation projects, especially in the field of electrification and digitalisation. At SPS IPC Drives in Hall 3, Booth 128, the test heroes together with Encontec GmbH will present the first results of their target-oriented developments: PIQ.drive, an all-in-one solution for the qualification of a wide variety of electric motors.
The digitalisation solution of the test heroes combines many years of practical experience in the areas of manufacturing, automation and digitalisation, sound know-how in the testing of electric motors and well-established software solutions based on LabVIEW. In recent months, the HMI interface and the test mechanics for the qualification of electric motors have been further optimised. With regard to test mechanics the test heroes now rely on proven test mechanics from Encontec.
The solution combines numerous standard tests for quality assurance, from starting torque to wow and flutter, as well as current ripple, and temperature testing, to name but a fraction of the testing possibilities.
A central platform component of the digitalisation solution is the PIQ.dataserver, which is supplemented by the ProNES IoT gateway. Both components can be seamlessly integrated into any manufacturing landscape, allowing IT and OT in any company to grow into a single unit – another milestone on the road to the Smart Factory of tomorrow.
PIQ.drive: highly flexible, proven quality assurance
“In times of electrification, the variety of electromotors is increasing. At the same time, lot size 1 is one of the goals of future-oriented manufacturing within the framework of I4.0 and IoT. Therefore, the environment-specific, flexible parameterisation of test stations is an absolute must in order to meet the current quality assurance requirements. The cooperation of development partners is just as indispensable so that the know-how of many experts can lead to optimised solutions for our customers,” says Jochen Weber, Managing Director of ProNES Automation GmbH.
